Spring 1964 - After the Beatles' fifth hit I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Julian moves with his parents to a sixth floor flat on Emperor's Gate off Cromwell road in the West Kensington area of London.

9 February 1964 - The Beatles appear on The Ed Sullivan Show.

2 March 1964 - Filming begins on A Hard Day's Night.

4 April 1964 - The Beatles occupy all top-five spots on the American singles charts. 

15 July 1964 - John Lennon buys his first mansion, Kenwood in Weybridge, Surrey in an attempt to gain more privacy for himself and his family. Here Julian was looked after by their housekeeper Dot Jarlett.  The family lived in the top-floor servants' quarters for almost 9 months as it was renovated and furnished.
